Eggless Gluten Free Jowar Millet Cookies | Sorghum Cookies | Healthy No Maida

These Eggless Gluten Free Jowar Millet Cookies are made with 100% sorghum/jowar + millet flour. No maida, no eggs, no refined flour!

Jowar/Sorghum is a fiber-rich, ancient grain perfect for kids, diabetics & gluten-free diets. These cookies are crisp, nutty and naturally sweet. A healthy snack for breakfast or teatime.


Makes: 15 cookies | Prep: 15 mins | Bake: 15 mins | Gluten Free | No Maida

Ingredients:
  • Jowar flour/Sorghum flour - 1/2 cup
  • Millet flour - 1/2 cup
  • Icing sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Ghee or Butter - 1/2 cup, melted
  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped pistachios - 1 Tbsp
  • Chopped almonds - 1 Tbsp
Method:
  1. Sift: Sift jowar flour, millet flour, icing sugar + baking powder. Jowar is dense, so sifting is important.
  2. Mix: Add melted ghee/butter. Mix to crumbly dough.
  3. Nuts: Add chopped pistachios + almonds. Bring together with hands.
  4. Roll: Roll between 2 cling film sheets. Cut with cookie cutter.
  5. Bake: Preheat oven 160°C. Bake 15 mins till edges turn light brown.
  6. Cool: Cool completely on wire rack. Jowar cookies crisp up only after cooling.
  7. Store: Store airtight 10-12 days.
