This is CAKE is specially for those who are in fasting. When i got order for this cake, its a challenge for me to bake and bring it good in taste and look. And you know yup i got got very good feedback for this Cake, and i thought of sharing with you all this so everyone can enjoy the cake when they are in fasting. As you know this is festive time and most of our Indian Ladies be with Fasting, so........... what are you waiting for go and Bake.......
Ingredients:
Sooji 1 cup
Seedless Dates 3/4 cup
Milk 1 1/2 cup
Oil 2 tbsp
Ghee 2 tbsp
Granulated Sugar 1/4 cup
Baking Powder 1 tsp (optional)
Cardamon Powder 1/2 tsp
Cashews 3 to 4 broken into small pieces.
Method:
- Mix the sugar, cardomom powder, cashews and baking powder well and add it to Bagar.
- Next add milk, oil, ghee to the Bagar mixture and mix well.
- Finally add the chopped, blended dates and mix till all ingredients are mixed well. Yes its very liquid mixture, dont worry when it is baked all will come together and bake well.
- Grease the tin with butter, dont dust with maida coz this cake is for fasting.
- Bake the cake in preheated oven at 180 deg for 50 mins.
- After 50mins dont be so hurry to remove from tin, its takes time, let it cool down completely then only u cut the slice, otherwise it will crumble the cake.
